She was with Edward and Elizabeth Gillett in Brighton for the 1841 Census.
She was also with them in 1851 as was her widowed mother.
Daughter Maria Miles married Edward Edwards (widower) Q2 1851, Brighton, Sussex, vol 7, p401. and died Q1 1878, age 62, Brighton, Sussex, vol 2b, p192, no children found.
I think the link to Hawkhurst can be traced from Edward Gillett's sister Elizabeth, and especially her entry in the 1851 census. They are both on the same monumental inscription in St Nicholas Rest Garden, Dyke Rd, Brighton, No. 259:
"Sacred to the memory of Elizabeth, widow of Edward Gillett died August 29th. 1859 aged 91 years, also Elizabeth Miles, sister of Mr Edward Gillett, died November 9th 1852 aged 72 years, also of Mr Edward Gillett Gentleman who departed this life June 19th 1850 aged 77 years" TOMB TO BE LEFT. Maria married Edward Edwards [1617] [MRIN: 561] on 7 May 1851 in Brighton, Sussex.
